NAF Privacy Policy

NAF is a national organization through which education, business, and community leaders work together to ensure high school students are college, career, and future ready. Since 1980, NAF has been partnering with high schools and industry partners to support this work. This Privacy Policy describes how NAF handles (or "we handle") personal identifiable information (PII). The privacy policy addresses data collection, data use, and inquiry provisions for all NAF platforms and programs.

NAF Data Security and Protection Plan The Data Security and Protection Policy document defines processes and systems of how NAF will store, share, maintain and destroy data that we acquire from our constituents, particularly Personally Identifiable Information (PII) with intent to Ensure the security and confidentiality of our clients’ information Protect against unauthorized access to or use of customer information that could result in substantial harm or inconvenience to our clients.While this document will not eliminate all malicious data theft, it stands to guide user awareness and practice and establish reasonable physical, technical, and administrative standards to protect against accidental loss and disclosure scenarios.
FERPA 101 Webinar FERPA is the Family Education Rights Acts. It is designed to protect the rights of parents and students (18 and older) to have access to, review and/or correct, and to have some say over who can access and/or use this data. This webinar, provided by the US Dept of Education is intended to introduce FERPA to staff of local educational agencies (schools, districts).
Student Privacy 101 The U.S. Department of Education is committed to student privacy. This video presents an overview of the FERPA law. Examples included in the video are designed to help educators, parents, and students understand the law.
